Total Video Converter App Reviews

It has one job and it doesn’t do it. All I want to do is convert video for the web, but that’s too much to ask- it crashes, exports files with zero bytes, looses track of settings and countless other flaws.

I am using this software since 2 months and I am really enjoing it. I am a Brazilian leaving in US and sometimes and I want to put subtitles in movies and convert my movies to IPAD. Total converter works very fine. I needed help 1 month ago and their support was great !! I recommend it !!! You are the best Toal Converter guys. I had 1 or 2 crashes in the last 2 months BUT …. what is the problem in try again ?

I bought this app to convert audio CDs ripped to wma and convert them to m4a. While it seems to do a good enough job for this simple task, when I load the m4a files into iTunes, the files converted with this software end abruptly about about a minute for the actual end of the song. The files that end abruptly play normally in VLC, and all my other m4a’s converted with other software play normally in iTunes. My hunch is that there’s a glitch in the bulk converter part of the app, because when I convert one song at a time, they will play normally. But this “one at a time” feature is free with the “lite” version, so I just wasted $9.99.

I like this app a lot. Once in a while, I end up with MKV files that when played lack sound. I convert these files to another format (flavors of MPEG) and the sound is restored. Tried other ways to do this with mixed results. Total Video Converter succeeds with nearly every files, including other source formats than MKV. The app is easy to use and reliable. The only issue I’ve got is conversion often takes longer than my patience quota and this is likely more to do with my Mac Mini, the OS or something I’ve missed in setting it up. If you need to convert video files this is a very good choice.

i love watching movies downloading it from a link. but sometimes it cant be played due to unknown extension file. so i decided to download an app for me to able to watch those movies. and i found TOTAL VIDEO CONVERTER. it has a lot of formats to choose from.

Bought this to convert to WebM & MP4 and worked as described. Has all options to customize your export settings. Works great!

Unfortunatelly this software is totally usesless. It is not working, just after installation I added my Audio CD to convertion to mp3 for test. Total Video Converter crashes when changing quality from normal to high. It does not create VBR mp3. High quality is 256 kbs not 320 kbs. Well it waste of money.

Waste of money.

I had the Lite version and it worked perfectly. I bought the paid version because of its batch capability. Not only it crashed sometimes, but the output quality is far behind the free version, with exactly the same settings. I am asking my money back from Apple Store. I also tried contacting the manufacturer, but no prompt answer, not even to acknowledge my message. Stay away from this and go with the free version!!

I just purchased and donwloaded this app only to determine that everytime Ive tried to use it, it crashes! This is RIDICULOUS!

Works great a wonderful ap for converting video to various files

I have been a PC user since DOS and have been able able to figure out almost everything however this program claims to be able to do everything hpwevr I cannot convert a WMV video onto any video that can be viewed onmy new MAC. I can only get an audio file, and thats it! Absolut worst APP I ever downloaded.Stay away from this one.Save your money.

this app is very useful. i always look for such an app to convert some videos. this app seems pretty good and i can learn how to use easily. it supports a large number of formats to input and output. it meets my need.

This app is very easy to use. Just drag and drop the video into the app, select it, choose a format and click convert. I recomend it to anyone who wants an easy to use video format converter.

One of the best app i have ever seen. Its really awesome. Great app. Works perfectly for me.

Bought this so I could convert a trimmed mp4 to gif, and it crashes all the time. The default gif conversion settings are not good (aspect ratio is not maintained, framerate is too low), and changing them to be a higher quality will sometimes crash randomly based on the settings. Also, you cannot put in the timestamps of the start/end, and instead have to press the start and end buttons while the video is playing. That gets annoying as I’ve had to do that about 18 times to trim the SAME clip because of all the crashes. I don’t understand how an app that crashes so much can charge the amount they do.
